Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue...

Long before being fashion icon, long before being blonde bitch and sexy, long before being the new electro goddess, long before being Lady Gaga......She was just Stefani Germanotta, a brunette girl of Mediterranean origin who sang and played the piano...barefoot wearing a peanut-green satin dress(?).
This old video is the proof though that underneath this Barbra Streisand meets Mariah Carey style.....she was just...WOW!!!



Samavayo are quite known to rock'n'roll audience. Teheran meets Berlin in this ultra interesting sound complex they call ...fuel. As grunge was for Seattle, fuel is the sound of this amazing city in the centre of Europe, Berlin.
"Here, House, Country, Hip Hop, Rock, Heavy Metal and Dub music are concentrated to such a degree that, within a radius of 500 meters, one can fully delve into each of these scenes." they declare in their website.

Their new album is expected in Spring of 2010 and will be the first "fuel" album in the music history. A mixture of all these sounds this city hosts but most of all an unique combination of melodic vocals and distorted guitars.

This year i promised myself for Christmas...to consume as little as possible. Moving in another country is not the best time to spend money, especially in super useless but extremely cute Christmas things.

But promises are promises and i broke it the moment i made it...so first came the tree ;-)

All of us can get silly sometimes, so just n'joy it.

Because now i met Captain Blue bear, my captain....

He has 27 lives and sails the seas of Zamonia and sees all these amazing things ...that is why he has the most beautiful eyes....

Though he will only speak about his 13 and 1/2 lives, because the rest is still a secret....

And now quiet.....i go sailing with him :-)

We 're going steady.....

So....we have a radio....After our test broad castings, i think we are ready to go on air in a regular basis. So except aliens invade the planet, meteorites crash on earth, biblical floods bring the Water World and all other possible and every day disasters....

A movie and a song ...and we catch up with this adventure as we do each one of us with our life's adventures. Last night I saw one of the new indie-american-blockbuster movies “500 days of Summer” and if I remember correct my last post, almost four months ago(it's been so long????), was about The Temper Trap and their “Sweet disposition”.

Well this song appears twice in this movie – unusual for a song, two times? In the same movie? This is a sign – a sign of resurrection....

The movie as it is indicated clearly in the beginning is NOT a love story. I would say that is just a movie about fate, coincidence and that sometimes this everyday adventure and survival that we call life can really surprises you.......How right and wrong can be so confusing sometimes, how expectations and reality are messing up with your feelings....and how almost every time after rain comes sunshine.....after Summer comes Autumn...(you have to see this movie to get this one...)

So here we are ...four months after....a big step AHEAD... a new city, a new life, a new adventure....this time with the feeling “i am in the right way”. “I just woke up one day and I knew ” says Summer, “...what I was never sure of with you”.....(see the movie you ll get that one too).....

So here we are.....back again!!!!

Welcome one more time to this blog, a blog about views of this world through a woman's eye....yeah I know this sounds pompous.....but I am just writing for everything that pops into my eye and leaves an impression, a thought or whatever I wanna share with you.
And from now on we also have a radio......a chick habit radio!!!

We ll start easy and we ll hopefully continue rough...so stay tuned ...

The Temper Trap are from Melbourne, Australia. Melodic and atmospheric tunes from down under. They just released their debut album named Conditions.... you can find it if you look around the web, listen and love it and then GO BUY it... Official date release in the UK 10th of August.....

The only thing i would say....from Men at Work to Radio Birdman and many many more...Australia always offers the best, i dont know how but 9 to 10 times if it is from Australia, it is GOOD!!!! ...Think Hugh Jackman for example ;-)

How many times haven't we ask ourselves what is this magic thing that makes a song really memorable????

Well.... moments. Always moments!!!! And if you consider that our lives are only moments...moments of sadness and happiness. And we go on with these precious moments and their memories and of course the "soundtrack" of these memories........pffff too much thinking makes it really complicated, isn't it???

Well this song was written by The Bee Gees (yeap, the Gibb brothers themselves) in 1968.

In 1998, 30 years later Faith no More offer a second chance to this good but unlucky song. This one was the last single of the band, released after their split up, that is why none of the band members appeared on the video-clip.

Thank God, Faith no More changed their minds and they are back together....REUNITED AGAIN!!!!
In one of those reunion concerts i met Steffi and Ralph.... i am not allowed to say more neither to show you a video of a great love but this song will always remind me of that beautiful night in Wuhlheide..... if they werent there, i would have missed not only the concert but myself in that area. Thank you guys!!!!

And Ralph well done for calling Steffi the right moment ;-) and singing in the right tune :-P

i was wondering what are we made of.... and i 'm talking about us, women....
are we made of some kind of special material? always programmed to do and think and speak as it should be... comme il faut....?
At least in my home country, Greece, women around my age are so well programmed to be perfect mothers, wives and sometime lovers.....Yes, this part of female activity is not the first in ranking among the others.
Well at least it wasn't. Thank god things are changing and women are ready to take back what they want. Most of them still don't know what they are looking for, or how to express themselves, or how to take what they need from their lovers... but at least things are on their way to change for younger women and girls.
The world is changing and all these old fashioned ideas our mothers (driven from their mothers) taught us, are on their way to extinct.
Anyway, this place is dedicated to all free-spirited women who are seeking ways to express themselves, enjoy their lives and have fun. To all women who turned the well-programmed robot inside them into a self-thinking and self-acting unit.
Music, books, magazines, fashion, traveling.... anything that pops into my eye and makes me have a happy thought :-)
Anything that will lead us, like a girly Peter Pan to the Never Never Land... the land where girls Never Grow Old!!!
